I wouldn’t post it otherwise, but it has a kind of strange dreamlike quality to it, even reminding of The Shining’s REDRUM. Excepter are from Brooklyn (such a prolific place for good music these days) and sound like dub noise disco, sort of. Or take it as it says on their myspace: “a synthetic protest band engineered to erase cultural distinctions through polarised confusion“.
Well, this is “Kill People” video off of “Debt Dept” released on Animal Collective’s Paw Tracks label. The video isn’t too brilliant, but you can always switch tabs (or if you’re into kitch…). Anyway, seems to me that the American experimental bands are so much better (or at least appear to be as they’re better known) than their European contemporaries at the moment.
